Up for consideration are a set of antique Mala Counters. These are made from brass and are very large and quite heavy. They are strung on leather cord. Both ornaments are Dharma Wheels. The overall length from the bottom of the Dharma Wheel to the top of the counter beads is 3.0 inches or about 76mm. Counters beads vary slightly in width and are sized 9-10mm each. The Dharma Wheels are about 27mm from side-to-side and 11mm wide at the center. The overall length of the entire counter from the top of the leather loop to the bottom of the Dharma Wheel is just about 5 inches or 127mm. General weight is 82 grams.
I have had these and two other sets for almost 18 years. I am also selling the two other antique
Mala Counters
sets in different listings. One is a pair with a traditional Bell and Dorje and the other is a pair of Three Jewels
ornaments
. All three sets are very unique. They would make a special gift to your dharma teacher or Vajra Master. Or they would look beautiful on any extra large bead sized Mala.
